Why games disappear without warning
Game Pass and PS Plus license titles for a fixed window, not forever. When a licensing deal ends, the game leaves the catalog, sometimes mid-playthrough. Microsoft and Sony do publish "leaving soon" lists, but they're easy to miss unless you're actively checking each service's own announcements.
If you're partway through a game that's about to leave, you generally lose access the moment the removal date hits. That makes advance notice the only real defense.
How to get ahead of it in GGz
- Go to Menu → Push Notification and make sure the subscription services you use are enabled.
