The problem with checking prices manually
Sales don't announce themselves everywhere at once. A store might quietly drop a price mid-week with no email and no push notification, and by the time it shows up in a roundup article, it may already be over. Watching for a specific game's price to drop, across more than one store, by hand, isn't realistic to keep up with long-term.
How to set it up in GGz
- Find the game and open its detail page.
- Tap the bookmark icon, the same one used to save favorites throughout the app.
- GGz checks the price across all 14 stores on the game's Available At screen continuously in the background.
- Enable notifications in Menu → Push Notification so a drop reaches you directly instead of requiring you to reopen the app to check.
- Revisit your Bookmark tab any time to see everything you're tracking in one list.
Because GGz compares 14 stores at once, a "price drop" isn't limited to your usual store. It catches whichever of the 14 moves first, official storefront or key reseller alike.
What else triggers a notification
Price drops are one of five notification types GGz supports, alongside daily launches, tomorrow's launches, a news digest, and free-game alerts. Each is toggled independently, so you only get the alerts you actually want, delivered at a sensible time for your timezone.
